Taxwire

Taxwire saves 10+ hours and $300+ monthly consolidating to Clarify

Problems

When Taxwire began scaling their go-to-market efforts, they struggled with a fragmented tech stack that created significant operational friction. Their data was scattered across HubSpot, spreadsheets, Notion docs, and various email inboxes. Despite having access to HubSpot's free tier, the team found themselves unable to consistently use it due to its rigid structure and complex workflows.

"HubSpot was trying to force our go-to-market thinking into terminology and structure that we weren't really ready for," explains Andrew Rea, Co-founder and CEO of Taxwire. "Everything felt like it was on hard mode when trying to make it do what I wanted to do, and what I wanted to do was pretty simple."

The team was spending considerable time manually enriching prospect data, juggling between multiple tools like Apollo and Clay for list building, and trying to maintain consistency in their outreach efforts. This manual approach became increasingly unsustainable as their pipeline grew.

Solutions

Taxwire implemented Clarify as their revenue operations platform after it was referred from a friend. The modern, intuitive interface aligned perfectly with their existing workflow tools like Notion and Linear, making adoption seamless. The platform's approach to automation and data enrichment particularly resonated with their needs.

Clarify provided Taxwire with a streamlined system that required minimal configuration while offering powerful functionality. The platform's Chrome extension simplified prospect capture from LinkedIn, while automated data enrichment eliminated the need for separate enrichment tools. Most importantly, Clarify's flexible architecture allowed Taxwire to maintain their preferred way of working rather than forcing them into a rigid framework.

"What made it different was how easy it was to use, and it could do a lot of the things we needed already," says Rea. "Even if I ever have an issue, it gets fixed so fast that I felt very confident making the move. Clarify's support is world-class."

Outcomes

The impact of implementing Clarify was immediate and substantial. Taxwire has seen significant improvements in their revenue operations efficiency:

"I barely use Apollo now," notes Rea. "I went from using it almost every day before Clarify to now only using it in rare one-offs." This shift has resulted in saving approximately 10-12 hours per month in manual data enrichment and prospect research time and a huge cost savings of $300 per month.

The platform has become Taxwire's source of truth for pipeline management, especially valuable as they scale their go-to-market efforts. The automated enrichment capabilities have eliminated the need for multiple paid subscriptions to data providers, resulting in direct cost savings.

"It's very easy to make all of the data move through different lists and different stages to do what I wanted to do without having to spend a bunch of time making sure I'm doing it correctly," explains Rea. "I don't dread trying to figure out how to make our CRM look like a real CRM or do the functional things that I would have needed HubSpot to do."

For Taxwire's lean team, Clarify has become the command center of their go-to-market efforts, allowing them to punch above their weight while maintaining the agility and speed of an early-stage startup.
